Shaq's Grand Opening

Maybank Media 7 provided full production management for the grand opening of NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal’s remodeled Papa John’s location on Georgia Tech’s main campus. The event, which included a block party for the community and a ribbon-cutting ceremony, celebrated Shaq’s first remodel of the pizza chain’s location, situated near TNT Studios.

The team managed all aspects of audiovisual production, from pre-event site assessments to the logistics and operation of AV equipment. This included setting up a sound system for the ribbon-cutting ceremony and organizing a red carpet for the mural reveal. Stage and power distribution were also meticulously managed to ensure smooth operations. Additionally, Maybank Media 7 provided assistance with stage management and security to maintain a seamless event experience.

The event garnered media attention and was featured on WhatNow Atlanta, A-Scene on 11 Alive News, and Shaq Life on TNT. Notable guests included Papa John’s CEO Steve Ritchie, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, Rapper Domani Harris, and V-103 DJ Greg Street.
